The Mural’s Artist is David Reiser

David Reiser has been passionate about art since his childhood. With over 30 years of painting experience he has devoted his career to providing his clients with extraordinary works of art. Whether a still-life, portrait, landscape or any other genre it is evident that he is truly a master of the craft. Reiser has over a decade of experience painting murals and three decades in fine art painting. It is Reiser’s flair for his unique designs and remarkable painting that set him apart. He does extensive research on his art projects to make sure his works are authentic and appropriate for each client. His work encompasses many varied subjects and his clients are corporate, commercial and residential. Many elaborate murals can be seen in Nebraska and across the nation. Some recent works are:

  • Henry Doorly Zoo, Omaha, NE
  • Created mural for aquarium tank that will depict a salt water pier and aquatic life.
  • Murals for Desert Dome depicting a variety of biomes including flora and fauna endemic to each region of the world.
  • Revamped existing mural for the new Beaches and Shores exhibit in the Walter and Suzanne Scott Kingdom of the Seas Aquarium.
  • Murals for Kingdom of the Night leading down to the exhibit area.
  • Kool-Aid Museum, Hastings, NE

These murals encompass the history of the product and its inventor, a native Nebraskan entrepreneur.

  • Symphony House, Lincoln, NE
  • Pastoral Italy became the setting for the murals created for the Lincoln Symphony Guild’s “Villa Tuscany” show home.
  • The Great Platte River Road Archway Monument, Kearney, NE
  • In cooperation with other renowned muralists, images were created depicting historical America from the 1860’s through the 1940’s.

Columbus, NE

  • “Discovering the Colorful History of Columbus” is an exterior mural commemorating the sesquicentennial of Columbus, NE. The mural depicts a worker repelling down a wall to peel away the layers of history from present to past. Mural measures 26 feet high by 84 feet long.
  • Lake McConaughy Visitor Center
  • Landscape murals were created for the visitor center to illustrate the uses of water in our state and the many animals that inhabit the Lake McConaughy area.
  • Dinosaur Walk Museum, Riverhead, NY
  • Dinosaur Walk Museum, Pigeon Forge, TN

Painted over 9000 square feet of murals in each of the museums depicting prehistoric landscapes used as background scenes for over 40 full scale dinosaurs.

  • Painted exterior mural for museum highlighting interior exhibits.

  • Painted murals depicting dinosaurs in their prehistoric habitat.

Reiser’s work has received outstanding reviews and has been the subject of many articles. One recent quote appeared in newspapers regarding his mural honoring the Columbus Sesquicentennial: “We believe that as a signature work of art, it will be a destination for people from hundreds of miles around since it will be so prominent and it will have been painted by a world class artist.” John Lohr, Columbus Sesquicentennial Committee Chairman.

Reiser majored in art at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Kansas University. However, the vast majority of his knowledge and skill are self-taught. He was selected by Nebraska Ducks Unlimited to design their sponsor print in 1997 and 2002, which were said to be the best selling prints to date.

David Reiser’s company, David Reiser Murals & Art is located in Waverly, NE. He has been married for 19 years to his wife, Bernice, and is a devoted husband and father of three children, Jessica, Jonah and Jennifer.
